Growing cauliflowers

1/ Cauliflowers are grown either as annuals or biennials and are grouped as winter, early summer and summer / autumn.

2/ The soil should have strong moisture with a PH of around 7.

3/ Cauliflowers do not like being disturbed. They are usually grown in modules.

4/ Seeds tend to germinate at around 21 degrees. Rule of thumb the later the sowing the larger the cauliflower.

5/ For early summer crops, you should sow seeds in Autumn, then pot up the seedlings and place them in a frame for the Winter. You can sow Summer crops indoors in trays.

6/ Cauliflowers require regular watering.

7/ Leave 16 weeks between sowing and harvesting.

When planting cauliflower always remember to refer to the instructions on the seed packets!
