Growing dill
1/ Dill grows in most conditions and germinates quickly.
2/ Prepare the grow site by digging through and adding manure.
3/ Dill seeds should be sown in April. Dill seedlings will appear within a fortnight. Once emerged they should be thinned to around 24 cm’s apart.
4/ Maintaining dill is fairly simple – just make sure there is plenty of water and weed frequently.
5/ To harvest dill cut the plant right down to within 3 cm’s of its base. The plants will re-grow to produce a second crop later in the Summer.
When planting dill always remember to refer to the instructions on the seed packets!
