Growing kale

1/ Kale is grown as either annual or biennial depending on the variety you choose.

2/ The soil should be fertile and well drained.

3/ Sow the seed in early Spring for a Summer crop. Kale seeds can be sown in trays, seed beds etc.

4/ If you are growing the dwarf variety space plants around 40 cm’s apart (double that for taller kale varities).

5/ You can harvest early kale as they have a great flavour.

When planting kale always remember to refer to the instructions on the seed packets!
