Marrows aka squashes are grown globally. There are a number of varieties of marrow including the pumpkin, squash and courgette. Summer marrows can be harvested during the growing season when the skin is still soft.
There are a few varieties of marrows to choose from. Some of the most common marrow seeds include “Long Green Bush” seeds which produce a striped variety of marrow, “Bush Baby” seeds which produce a small marrow with an intense flavour, “Tiger cross” seeds which produce perfect striped and tasty fruits and “Table Dainty” seeds that produce medium-sized fruits with a dark green skin.
Check out the courgette seed and squash seed pages for information on these vegetables.
