Growing mint
1/ Mint is one of the easiest herbs to grow from seed or plant. They are not so fussy as other herbs but do prefer a moist and fertile soil.
2/ You can propagate mint from its roots. Take a piece of root, pot it in a container and water regularly. After a few weeks leaves will sprout and the plant can be transplanted into the garden.
3/ You can grow mint in containers. Simply place in potting compost and water frequently.
4/ Mint is a very strong grower and thus needs to be maintained appropriately.
5/ When harvesting mint cut the leaves using scissors. Cut from the top of the plant.
When planting mint always remember to refer to the instructions on the seed packets!
